Best Places To Dive:

Kona

Molokai

This is another exceptional diving destination that you are going to want to consider if you are heading over to Hawaii. Not only does it have some of the most stunning reefs, but it is not as frequently traveled. Therefore, you will be able to dive undisturbed and see the marine life without the disturbance of many visitors. It is not as accessible as Kona which means you will be able to have a much more private experience. Also, on the south shore of the island, you will find the longest fringing reef in the entire state.

Maui

Oahu has one of our favorite wrecks to visit. The Seatiger was a 168′ freighter that was deliberately sunk in 1999. Plenty of marine life here including reef fish to turtles, dolphins, and sharks. YO-257 is an old navy ship built during WW2 is also a favorite location of many divers. These are just some of the best diving locations on Oahu.

Perhaps the best aquatic life that you should be on the lookout for when you are heading over to Hawaii would have to be the different species of rays. Hawaii has three distinct types of rays that you will be able to see on your dives. They have stingrays, spotted eagle rays, and manta rays.

Sharks

Another to look out for would have to be Hawaii’s unique variety of sharks. You will be able to spot over 40 different shark species throughout the region.
